Statement of Faith

What We Believe

We stand on the Word of God as the final authority for faith and practice. What follows is an honest declaration of the essentials we hold — with more doctrinal statements to be added as we continue building out this page.

Water Baptism

We believe that water Baptism is essential to our obedience after reconciliation with God. Water baptism is one immersion (not three) in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, as Jesus commanded.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the baptism of the Holy Ghost is an endowment of power from God through Jesus Christ. It is the promise of the Father, and when one receives this gift of the Holy Ghost, it is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in a language unlearned previously — referred to as speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. We do not teach or instruct people on how to speak in tongues; the Holy Spirit gives utterance. We also stress the necessity of purity before power. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are for us today.
